Ridges and flashing

Ridge caps, step flashing, chimney crickets and the small metal parts that keep water moving.

Price

From $640

Time

1–2 days on site

Warranty

10 years on metalwork

Shingles shed water. Metal moves it. When a sound roof leaks, it is nearly always at the metal, and it is nearly always fixable without replacing anything else.

What wears out

Ridge caps take the most wind and lose their nails first. Flashing fails where it was bent too tight, sealed instead of lapped, or simply left out behind a chimney.
